oh I realized that. The 60's(70's) had many, many cover versions that
made the charts. I have no problems with that. I recall as a kid
listening to songs that had all sorts of versions in the mainstream.
 
Seemed like anyone who was anyone, had a version of Me and Bobby Mcgee.
 
That, and Led Zeppelin nicked/borrowed/plagerized/you name it, all
kinds of songs. They were not alone.
