Only person goofier than the seller, is the buyer ; )

Not that I'm thinking there will be a buyer though.

I remember the first CD I ever bought, it was Billy Joels innocent man.
cost was $17.99 and I didnt even have a player yet. Early CD was
limited and expensive. I recently saw some idiot on ebay asking $10K
for early Michael Jackson thriller CD sealed in longbox. Now thats crazy.

That's a trickier question than I thought it would be. Lots of conflicting
information out there. Wikipedia summarizes it nicely and seems to be
accurate.
The article at Wiki says that Abba's The Visitor was the first
'manufactured' cd, it was Billy Joel's 52nd Street that was the first
'released' cd. The first 'pressed' cd was Richard Strauss's Eine
Alpensinfonie (in English, An Alpine Symphony), played by the Berlin
Philharmonic. The first public demonstration of a cd was of the Bee Gee's
album, Living Eyes.

Lots more trivia here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_Disc

The only thing I know for a fact is that my first cd(s) were ZZ Tops
Deguello, Deep Purple Machine Head and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. All
bought the same day at a Future shop on North Albert St. Regina Sask.
Canada.

I thought Bruce's Born in the USA was first on CD? The 'Visitors' has the
amazing title track and few other decent tracks, but not as good as the
better material on well, any other album imho if I line the tracks up side
by side from best to worst. Then there's 'Two for the Price of One' that
made me cringe altogether.
