Coincidentally, I bought tickets to see Deep Purple this week.
This will be the first time for me. I`ve seen a pile of those legacy groups
over the years, but these guys have eluded me till now. I`m well aware of
the current lineup, and am good with that. Don Airey was a struggle at
first. Certainly not because of ability, he`s very good, if not as
adventurous as Mr. Lord.
Now, as long as they don`t bow out, I`ll be a happy camper come Feb 16th.

Yes, December 3rd, 1971, Frank Zappa and the Mothers were playing the best
place in town, the Montreux Casino, when some stupid with a flare gun burned
the place to the ground.
..and a group af musicians were given the inspiration for a classic song
with a riff every young guitarist wanted to learn.
We looked at Deeep Purple's "Made in Japan" live album and the story how we
almost never got to hear it!
