We saw them a couple of years ago, with Dreja and McCarty and the newer folks. Actually I thought they knocked it out of the part. Great performance, damn good set list as well. There is a live album out there called Live at BB Kings, which was from this lineup. Very nicely done.
They play stuff from all different incarnations of the Yardbirds, Beck, Clapton and Page. They do have another fairly recent studio album with re-do's of some classic stuff with other newer music. Jeff Beck guests on it.
Its a great evening of music.

Hey, I saw the Yardbirds here in SoCal on Friday!
My friend got some free tickets from a radio station. It was a small club so we were relatively close to the stage. The band consists of the original rhythm guitarist and drummer (Chris Dreja, Jim McCarty). The other 3 are kids by comparison. They played most of their hits and sounded good but I missed Keith Relf's voice.
