[u2tour] Re: GA procedure, my experience in Pittsburgh

Most sane post in this thread. This is what I did for all the GA shows I had: showed up early enough to make sure I got into the circle and then didn't worry about it. I usually got my circle stamp and then went some place else to relax - I have a bad back and all that standing can be torture. I staked out a spot at the Meadowlands show last week simply because it was such a GOOD spot!

Which is why I think the 12-24-36-1000 hour lines are bizarre. If I can show up at 6:30 and get a really good spot, why would I spend so many hours in line to be 10-20 feet closer?

Sure, I'd like to be in that prime middle spot against the rail, but I just can't imagine it's worth it. I'd be so sore and exhausted by the time the show started...

In Pittsburgh we walked in at 6pm and were about 5 deep right in front of Edge, so I saved 12 hours of my life and only lost 5 places and got to enjoy the whole day.
