[u2tour] Re: GA procedure, my experience in Pittsburgh

I see my little smiley face is missing at the end of this post. I'm not
going to start my own line and have a brawl. I also realize that U2 Dave
was on board with the plan. What else could he have done? Thanks for all
of the interesting posts, from all perspectives. Would have been nice if
there was a lottery for the inner circle this tour. Hopefully if and
when there is a next tour, it will be more like the Vertigo set up.

As for Pittsburgh, I think there was plenty of room for the line to form
where it was and, really, no reason for people to leave the line at all.
There was no reason to start a list 2 days prior. I'm not complaining
about being #250. I'm complaining about being #250 with no one in front
of us.

Sorry for starting a controversy! Glad to have some discussion about it.
Anyone have a contact for U2? I'm sure there are other creative ways to
manage this. The lottery was a good one. I also don't think lining up
when the venue allows would start a stampede if it was early enough.
Anyone there would still be in the first 300. For those in the first 50
who tell me that 250 is just as good, the same holds for you.

Funny, as I'm writing this my daughter is watching the Yo Gabba Gabba
episode about waiting for your turn. "It's only fair to wait right there."
