To my mind, all critics are guilty of is ignoring Bon Jovi (wish that this were still true) And Journey was a splinter group off of Santana when it first started out, and was so hyped at the time! The critics and radio stations PUSHED this band hard!

True, but there were a lot of one hit wonder bands who didn't receive as much critic scorn as The Knack did. Maybe their attempt to have an 'early Beatles' looking album as their debut album, got things off on the wrong foot.

Couple other bands critics went after: Bon Jovi, Journey.
