ASSOCIATION OF IVORIANS IN NEW YORK

144-02 116th Ave Suite 1, S.Ozone Park, NY 11436

To all,

Aware of the struggles of immigrants in the U.S and the Africans living in the Diaspora, The Association of the Ivorians in New York also known as A.I.N.Y invites the African community and the community at large to its first Annual Gala. This event will be held at 98-16 55th Ave, Corona (Saint Paul the Apostle, Roman Catholic church) NY 1136 on July 07th at 10 pm

The short term goal of this event is to bring awareness to the different possibilities as well as the struggles for success for students in the public school system.
Indeed, a myriad of parents in the public school system are not aware of the possibilities offered by the Department of Education for the success of their children.
Furthermore, most parents that we have contacted have stated that the number one issue for their children's education has been the lack of clear and relevant information between parents and the school administration.

The long term goal is to advocate for progress in education through seminars and workshops. In addition, the Association aims at promoting Excellence and competition among students through inquiries of grants and scholarships.
In fact, a part of your donations will be utilized to sponsor one or two deserving scholars who are facing financial difficulties.

We cannot do it alone, consequently we need your help by contributing physically and by any monetary means to this first Annual Gala dedicated to Education.

Remember, it takes a village to raise a child. We are the village. Let's build our children's future and ours together.
Sincerely yours,
Lucien KOUASSI
