Re: [Classic_Rock_Forever] Re: Jon Anderson was NOT asked to re-join Yes, says he does not talk to Squire

You dont know the details of what happened with them, and this sort of speculation ALWAYS gets my goat up as a long time guitar player in bands and having to deal with the endless melodrama and egomania of singers.

Nobody except the members of Yes know what dealing with Anderson was like, I've heard thru the grapevine he could be extremely controlling and difficult.

Perhaps he backed the rest of the group into a corner and gave them an ultimatum or something about some sort of personal or business issues, we'll never know... and perhaps the other guys said, enough is enough

its ridiculous, guitarists bass players drummers and keyboards get shown the door all the time and nobody cares. Send the singer packing and suddenly the rest of the band is evil.

And before any of you start flaming me, tell you what. Spend the next thirty years in working bands and then get  back to me with your experience.

The way they treated Jon Anderson was terrible, especially replacing him with a tribute singer. Interesting that his solo touring has been doing well, and Rick Wakeman joins up with Anderson when available.
