THe most covered song is "Yesterday" if I recall. Sometimes you got more than one version of a song on the chart at the same time. THere were 5 versions of "Look for a Star" in 1960. OTOH, the BeeGees refused to release "More Than a Woman" because Tavares was having some success with it. Probably would have hit the top.
