I used to think Johnny Ramone's downstroked guitar style was murder on your wrists to play. That guy was King of brutal guitar.

Then Billie took it up a notch. Holy crap. I've played a couple of Green Day tunes in bands, and both times, they had to be at the end of the set, my old aching wrist just couldnt go on after that, I'd need a break.

That was fun. Billie kept asking the crowd for volunteers to come up
and play guitar. If they could tell him the first 5 notes or something
like that, he's let them up. The guy we saw nailed it, and quite
obviously was a musician who knew the music well.

Of course I can't recall which song this happened during?

I'm 50 as we speak, nothing better than discovering somebody 'new' to
me and diving right in.
