I think you'll find if/when details finally officially emerge, that
with regards to the 18 songs that encompassed Bruce's original home
solo Nebraska session/s tape that:

* 5 or 6 of the songs were never later attempted with any band backing
MANSION ON THE HILL
HIGHWAY PATROLMAN
USED CARS
REASON TO BELIEVE
LOSIN' KIND
NEBRASKA

* 4 or 5 of the songs were later recorded with a very
sparse/minimalist backing - i.e. with only 1 or 2 members of the ESB
backing
STATE TROOPER
OPEN ALL NIGHT
THE BIG PAYBACK
MY FATHER'S HOUSE
JOHNNY BYE BYE

* 6 or 7 of the songs were later recorded with a complete or virtually
complete ESB backing
BORN IN THE USA
ATLANTIC CITY
JOHNNY 99
CHILD BRIDE......full band recording of this used new title, different
music and revised lyrics ("Working On The Highway")
DOWNBOUND TRAIN
PINK CADILLAC
