I'd didn't know much about Def Leppard, but we went to see the Pyromania tour due to the fact that the had Uriah Heep opening the show, and that was a group my brother was very keen to see. Heep was great, and Leppard was just fine. I can't say anybody won the night, just a good show all round.

saw Priest on the British Steel tour, Def Leppard was on their first tour and opened for Priest, and blew Priest away
nobody I told believed me, but then a couple years later Pyromania came out, and that changed some people's opinions

Only saw the once, and that was waayyy back in 83ish. They happened to be playing in Oahu and I was fortunate enough to snag some tickets at a tourist booth.Good show, still recall it quite vividly. Halford came screeching onto stage on his motorcycle all decked out in flowers and assorted Hawaiian stuff.ClintFrom: 1 FINGER JRSent: Friday, January 13, 2012 12:16 PMSubject: RE: [Classic_Rock_Forever] New Member

It was a cover song that they did that first got me interested in them. The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)" was a Priest song as far as I knew, however it turned out to be a Fleetwood Mac tune. Helluva version though!ClintFrom: rhett leeSent: Friday, January 13, 2012 11:40 AMSubject: Re: [Classic_Rock_Forever] New Member
be sure and seek out "Last Rose of the Summer" off of Sin After Sin to see how far afield Judas Priest is capable of going
and they covered Joan Baez on that album too
