 I believe someone real close to him killed him because of jealousy and greed. There were some ongoing issues involving some real estate he inherited from his mother.

Walter was a star who fell through the cracks and the world never got to know about him.He was actually signed by Atlantic records in 1958 but somehow or another someone on the business end of things dropped the ball.He was killed in 1990 when he was just about to become famous.
