Subject: [Classic_Rock_Forever] Billy Cox releases new CD and lauches new website
Greetings Everyone,
Interesting news here. As everyone knows, Billy Cox is the last living member
of Jimi Hendrix' inner circle as well as the last two bands that Jimi toured
and recorded with. The Experience (mark II)
and The Band of Gypsys. Billy has continued to tour with the Experience Hendrix
tribute tour and has jammed and worked with greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughan,
Steve Winwood and Slash.
Now Billy has just released a new CD called "Old School Blues" as
well as launching a new website to promote it and his band, The New
Band of Gypsys. (when you log onto his website you get a half minute of some of
his new music and it's pretty cool). There is also a link
to his YouTube channel and a video of The New Band of Gypsys performing "Voodoo
Child (Slight Return)" for some returning veterans in Nashville.
For those who have wanted to touch base or contact Billy
(and I get lots of those requests through my website) you can now
reach him through a link at his website and he invites those that
participate in Facebook or Twitter to join him there as well. There are links to
those venues on the website homepage.
