I've always enjoyed [and still do] singers/groups who were unique and dared to be different. Ones like T-Rex, Meatloaf, Johnny Cash, Joe Cocker and even Amy Winehouse are all good in my book.

Have been a fan of Bolan since I first heard him many years ago. Wasn't crazy about some of his glamour stuff later in his career but the earlier stuff I thought was great.

I like T-Rex, never really heard a song of their's that I thought was bad. Some are certainly catchier than others.

Recently got introduced to the Black Keys, via the 'Brother' disc. My first thought was that they have a sound very reminiscient of T-Rex. Perhaps a little more swampy in sections, but there is a nod to Marc and company, imho.
