My best memory was at the May 21 concert in Denver. I was arriving at the stadium to enter for the Red Zone when I saw a large group of people near the driveway leading into the stadium. I asked a person nearby what everybody was doing and he said they were waiting for Bono. I thought I wanted too also. So I moved around the area, trying to get a good position. At one point, a woman said to move because I had taken cuts at the front and she said the group had been waiting for three hours. I moved a short distance away and said I needed to be in the front because I was short.
About twenty minutes later, sure enough, two black SUVs drove up. Bono and the Edge got out of the second one. The Edge appeared to move from one side of the SUV to the other and got in again.I got a great picture of him. Bono started walking around and came up to my group and shook hands with the family in front of me. I kept snapping my camera, as I was one person away from him. He then moved on to other groups and the man standing behind me offered to let me sit on his shoulders. I got up and got a great view as Bono moved about the crowd, signing autographs.
About 15 minutes later, it was over and I got down from the guy's shoulders, thanked him, and went on my way. I apologize for taking cuts and for not offering to e-mail him the pictures. It was like a dream. A great memory. And the concert was great, too.
