Re: [u2tour] Re: Another Observation From Pittsburgh

Hi, I was not offended by the topic. Yes, diversity is a topic that some
don¹t like to discuss. I am a Black American, and have liked U2 since the
80s. From my perspective, the fans are a lot more diverse than when I was a
teenager, believe me. I have, as some may not be willing to believe,
encountered bigoted comments at U2 shows. That did not surprise me at all.
U2 is positive and progressive but that is not to say that some fans are not
jerks (regardless of nationality) . Yes, you don¹t know what it¹s like to
be the ³other² person. But in fairness, I don¹t know what it¹s like to be
you.

I know of casual fans, but I am a, well, fanatical fan when it comes to U2.
I usually go with my sister, but mostly on my own. I rather prefer keeping
the guys to myself.
