I spent my 50th at the Miami concert, one of the best days of my life.
Yes, don't make us wait 4 more years.

Subject: Re: [u2tour] Best memory

OK....this is a great topic and I decided to share...I'll try to keep it
as
short as possible.

As much I think the Baltimore show was far superior to the DC show in
every
way, my best moment was at the DC show.

I had plans to go with two of my closest friends that I have seen many
U2
shows with. The day before the show my father passed away suddenly and I
was crushed and did not know what to do about my ticket. But after
talking
with my mom and some friends they all said to go b/c it's what my father
would have wanted me to do. He knew how much I loved U2 and we listed to
them together MANY times while driving to and from golf trips. Not to
mention how many times I made him watch all the concert DVDs!

He had a few songs he really liked but Streets was his favorite and he
always got grooving whenever it came on. It made me smile and laugh to
see
it....it brought joy to both of us.

I knew the show would be very emotional for me and I would need to lean
on
my friends to get thru it. I was doing pretty well until they played
Streets and then I kind of lost it. So many emotions just exploded
inside
and it was difficult yet amazing all at the same time. The song made me
think of my father...almost like his spirit was there next to me...and
he
was happy to see me in a place he knew I loved so dearly.

My friends hugged me and said.."hang in there Scot...we are here for
you". Those few minutes are moments I will never EVER forget as long as
I Iive. The music...my friends...the memory of my father all brought
together as one by the greatest band on the planet.

Thanks for letting me share.
