I haven't listened to that record in probably 30 yrs. As I recall it was fun. At the time I wasn't all that aware of the original songs that he was covering, save for the Who's and a couple others.

I'm thinking its time to change the homepage picture.

You might look for an album called Pin Ups. Bowie covers a bunch of familiar other peoples songs in a new way. Of course that annoyed as many people as found it interesting....

I say that because so many of the greats that I really like and appreciate now [Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Neil Young, etc] I didn't especially care for 30 or 40 years ago. Perhaps Bowie will be the same ??

I never got into Bowie and don't listen to him at all. I know there were/are some real Bowie fans out there .... but I just wasn't one of them.
