Don't know if she is or not. Did a quick search and nothing popped up. She would be in her 70's now [I think].
Yes, it's one of Etta's signature songs & Etta felt she should have sang it. Not Sure if Beyonce asked Etta for permission or not, but my guess is she didn't given Etta's reaction.
BTW, is Etta still touring ?
