We had a lot of accusations of the GA line organizers being "nazi's", a "syndicate" and "bullies." Simply because they go to many shows, and have developed a system that allows everyone a few hours to leave the line. and come back (the wristband idea by the way is basically the same principle). Even with all the fans writing against the system I've never seen someone witness them as being rude or yelling at anyone (though I'm sure if they were screamed at or yelled at they might get a little harsh in return):
But below are just 3 examples of some of the comments from those very people:
"NO ONE has the right to proclaim themselves line manager. I would have to tell them to f off!!! As far as the guy saying if they abolish the GA, then we would have to pay thousands of dollars, SHUT UP!!!" (that was me by the way)
" I'd like to see U2 Dave or any of these other jokers do this at another concert."
"Next tour everyone will know that if you are not in line then get effn lost!"
Question - who are the ones that are acting like bullies? Who do we want organizing a line (make no doubt, there needs to be organization).Do we really want to say no one can arrive before 6 am? Does anyone think that is realistic? Is is proper to tell anyone on this list or anywhere to "shut up? Is that taking away freedom of speech sort of like a certain European country in the 30's and 40's? I can't wait to to first show of the next tour to see this proposed showdown between the "true" U2 fans and the "true" U2 fans.
We are one, but we're not the same, we get to carry each other.
One more thing - Out of control AND 40??? How I wish I was there!!!!!

Absolutely true u2girl. Back in the day you showed up and that was your spot. None of this BS about a list 2-3 days old went on. NO ONE has the right to proclaim themselves line manager. I would have to tell them to f off!!! As far as the guy saying if they abolish the GA, then we would have to pay thousands of dollars, SHUT UP!!! If the seats are reserved so be it. They can still keep the prices down. They can keep the tickets till day of show. You get to the ticket window and get your ticket with the CC you used to buy it with.
