I totally agree with you here...
There's a ton involved and to switch out songs that quickly may be
tough....or simply go with vanilla on the screens for some of those
rarities..?

I think that it's because they have more of a production with videos that
go with the tunes; other bands have just whatever in the background but U2
does not do that...It is probably too much work to do all that stuff over
and over again. If U2 played without all the screen stuff it would
probably be different I think, but they like turning it into a real show
that is a pleasure to watch from the furthest seat back.
The other thing is that they probably feel that they have to play their
greatest hits each time for all the people who are not die-hard fans, who
don't know their other stuff as well.
I agree with you though, and wish that they would change the sets more at
least if they play 2 nights in a row. But again, a lesser fan may not like
the show if they play a lot of more obscure songs (better for us though
haha!!)
