Re: [u2tour] More on where to stay?????

Many many hotel choices downtown! Delta (475 Ave du President-Kennedy is most central unless you want to be close to the tourist trap that iold Montreal is), Novotel are all good and not to expensive. Quality Inn on Avenue du Parc is very reasonable and close to everything (close to McGill University and St. laurent / Ste. Catherine's/ Sherbrooke streets (most reasonable price and clean). More expensive options too of course: Queen Elizabeth hotel is luxurious.

The downtown in Montreal is very compact and very walkable. Old Montreal is nice to walk through but not the best place for good food: a lot of overpriced tourist trap type stores/bars/food.

So any of the choices that I mentioned are good!

Good luck!
