When you think about it, that's a long time in one position. Amazing how long some of these guys have been around.

I wasn't aware of Judas Priest until the late 70's, and that was because of the 'Unleashed in the East' album. Excellent version of the Green Manalishi on that one.

Judas Priest are prepping for what they say will be their last tour (beginning in June) but guitarist KK Downing, a founding member of the band, has decided to take early retirement. But the band assures fans that the show will go on, with Richie Faulkner as Downing's replacement. The band is also planning a new album for release next year. As for Downing's retirement after 43 years in the same job, his band mates say they "respect his decision and naturally wish him well."
