ECC is celebrating ten years of service by the Africana Institute on May 12, 2011, which is the Institute's 10th Anniversary Celebration. We are seeking your support in recognizing its contribution to the greater Newark community. During my tenure as the director, the Institute has chartered new ground in building relationships with leader and thinkers in Africa and around the world. These relationships are the foundation of programs like Bridging the Gap; where the college community has the opportunity to discuss and strengthen the relationships between the diverse descents of African in the U.S. This is one of the annual events convened by the Institute.
