Thanks everyone for your feedback! It is reassuring to hear that even though some people's memberships had expired there was still access to presale tickets via Horizon group. Thank you Caroline for letting me know you have seen this over the years since the Propaganda years. Adrian, I also agree that it depends on the representative that you reach, some being better at customer service than others.
I do plan to follow up again with them, since I think it should say it somewhere in the web site what happens if you don't renew immediately. I also really would like to sort out why I was never notified that my membership was up for renewal. I'm not sure if they regularly send messages about that, but it may be a good idea. Lastly, to let them know to be a little more sensitive with members who have supported this fanclub for a long time.
Thanks again,
Miriam

I contacted u2.com today by phone to try and resolve this. I was informed by a representative that I have completely lost my status with the fanclub. I was informed by a supervisor that it can not be reset without starting again as a new member.

I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I am also wondering if anyone can suggest who I can speak to in an attempt to resolve this matter?
