I'm gustavo jobim, from rio de janeiro, brazil. Since 2000 I've been making experimental and electronic music. I also have studied the piano in a free course. I'm always looking for collaborations, exchange of ideas, and of course ways to promote my music.
My latest releases have been 'Belles Alliances', a free downloadable collaborations album with artists from all over the world, and 'Trapped in a Day Job', my 5th solo album, available as a free stream and cheap, high quality audio download at gustavojobim.bandcamp.com . I also have 4 full length albums worth of unreleased music.
Some of main musical interests are classic symphonies (Beethoven, Mahler); 20th century classics (Erik Satie, Arvo Pärt); minimalistic music and repetitive music in general (Glass, Reich, Young); electronic pioneers (Edgard Varese, Klaus Schulze, Conrad Schnitzler, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, J.M.Jarre, Vangelis); progressive rock (Magma, Heldon, Trettioåriga Kriget, Mike Oldfield) and others.
