Best of British Season 2011

Mama
Africa features BUMI THOMAS, BULAWAYO, AMAZIAH and sounds by DJ NIMZ.
It is a celebration of African Women's music throughout the Diaspora in
the name of the finest singer and activist Miriam Makeba and in memory
of fellow South African artist Doreen Thobekile... 2011 is also the
100th anniversary of the first International Women's Day!

This is
WOM@TT's 4th Mama Africa and past events have set the bar high. March
25th is set to excel with the melodic and feisty Zimbabwean strength of
BULAWAYO led by CECILIA NDHLOVU (Mbira/Vox), the awesome and totally
unique afro acoustic soul of Nigerian born BUMI THOMAS and AMAZIAH's
class reggae jazz fusion. ROSEMARY LARYEA creator/presenter of COLOURFUL
LIFE on Colourful Radio hosts and DJ NIMZ spins a fabulous eclectic DJ
selection

WOM@TT enters a third successful year of promoting,
developing and high profiling UK based African, Caribbean and Latin
artists - the Best of British - in the finest venues.

Come one come all and spread the word - bring your friends.

As
a regular told us: " Wom@ nights have such an amazing energy, it is the
type of night that makes you want to go back again and again- both the
people and the music are wonderful! Everyone I met at the night I went
to at Ladbroke Grove was warm and returned a smile – which isn't
something you always find in London. Another important factor was that
the music was an incredible fusion that just made me want to dance all
night!"
