its not just his voice, that interested me. Its his Sun sessions stuff which is some barn burning raunch, if you can get past the twang. That stuff is hotter than seven hells. His late 60s touring band with James Burton, they were incredible too.

Her voice is spectacular and she had an impressive range, she could dive and climb in the same line, very difficult. But its not just the voice. Her albums still sound "fresh" or whatever; her producer Owen Bradley, was a real genius, the last recordings they did are spectacular for the time. Somebody sure knew their way around a console and a mastering machine.

It takes more than a nice voice to interest me. Its not enough, it never has been, it never will be. I dont sit around and listen to Yngvie guitar solos either, those bore me as well.
