Your loss Karl!! This was the best I've ever seen U2 play. They clearly love the show they've produced and the stage is absolutely mind blowing. Watching it on DVD is nothing compared to the spectacle in real life.
Bono's voice was absolutely superb and he was totally in his eliminate being able to get up close & personal to a lot of fans as a result of the 360 stage. The video put to some of the songs evoked so much emotion when right in front of you on such a grand scale. Especially Miss Sarajevo - the clips together with Bono performing Pavarotti's part - absolutely brilliant.
I will never get 'sick to death' of any of their songs - no matter how many times I hear them played - they are all timeless to me and hearing them played live is amazing. But it's 'fans' like you that ruin it for the rest of us at concerts when you stand there like stunned mullets, don't sing, don't clap and don't show any appreciation for the legends in front of you.
I went to both Perth concerts and U2 clearly thought about a lot of people attending both nights so they changed the set list and Bono didn't chat about the same things either.
His back was giving him a lot of grief (he was at the stadium early each day to have physio) but you wouldn't know it when he's on the stage. He didn't hold back at all.

Best setlist? Not sure what you mean by long time fans and old stuff that never
gets played. But most of the old time fans I know are sick to death of Pride,
Mysterious Ways, Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, New Year's Day,
Sunday Bloody Sunday, just to name a few. While I fully understand the need to
play a certain amount of old horses and it's great to see the occasional nonhit
like Scarlet, In a Little While, and Love Rescue Me make the cut, they are done
so at the expense of the other occasional nonhit. For the first time in since
1981, I'm skipping a tour due to being bored with well over half of the setlist
being nothing but a nostalgic rerun on an overblown set. They don't owe me or
anyone else a thing, but it's just not doing it for me anymore.
Karl

Agree, best set list In my opinion. They have to know that
long time fans just love the old stuff that never gets
played. I hope they continue this summer when they head
back to the USA.
