That was a question I had as well. It could never make sense to only have him in there. The collaboration of the group is what produced the music that still stands as the bedrock to the show.
Michael Bruce was the guy who dreamt up alot of the melodies/song structure. The rest had their songs as well, but in the end it was a group effort to produce what ended up on the vinyl.
