According to www.Computicket.co.za if you have a GA ticket you should get to the stadium a day before the Concert. You may be issued with an Inner Circle wristband for the next day's show, which will get you Inbetween the Stage and the RedZone. Check the site for the map...

In the US it was completely dependent on the stadium crew. The inner ring was entirely first come, first served. Most of the time, people managed to line up or at least maintain a list starting the day before the show.
