From what I read. During the last reunion tour, Michael just walked off the stage in the middle of the tour. At that point, he said never again. He stated something to the effect that Micky, Davy, and Peter had over inflated ego's.

Michael Nesmith probably had no interest. He has been usually absent for past Monkees tours (post 60's).
