Replying to my own topic- does this qualify as an ego trip?- cos this has got interesting with mention of double 'a' sides, anyone know of a double 'b' side? Slade did it with Get down and get with it, the b side is two songs: Gospel according to Rasputin and Do you Want me?
Both are proof if proof is needed that the Midlands yobs were far more than mere bootstomping glam rock.

For those of us who grew up in the hey day of classic rock, sixties and seventies, there was a musical pleasure that has gone the way of the record player, into obscurity and treasured only by insane devotees of such musical arcana. (And yes I count myself as one such.) Those were the days when you went into the record shop and brought the latest single by Mott or Free or Roxy, whoever you were into. And there was an unknown pleasure that awaited you in the form of the 'b' side. Sometimes it was an album track that you already knew, somtimes it was naff and you never listened to it again, but sometimes you discovered an unknown treasure by your favourite band and the 'B; side got as much play as the 'A'.
