[Classic_Rock_Forever] Re: "time to play 'B' sides.'"

Interesting topic. I would have to say my favorite b-side is Elton John's "Skyline Pigeon", which was on the flip side of "Daniel".

For those of us who grew up in the hey day of classic rock, sixties and seventies, there was a musical pleasure that has gone the way of the record player, into obscurity and treasured only by insane devotees of such musical arcana. (And yes I count myself as one such.) Those were the days when you went into the record shop and brought the latest single by Mott or Free or Roxy, whoever you were into. And there was an unknown pleasure that awaited you in the form of the 'b' side. Sometimes it was an album track that you already knew, somtimes it was naff and you never listened to it again, but sometimes you discovered an unknown treasure by your favourite band and the 'B; side got as much play as the 'A'.
