A little story about Mike Nesmith.
He had a girlfriend in Paris. I was driving him in London. He 'phoned the hotel where his girlfriend was but they only spoke French... hmm.. not unreasonable..
He passed the 'phone to me expecting me to be able to communicate. Of course I couldn't. He was surprised thinking that all English people would be able to speak the language of a place just across the channel... lol.
And.... Just a bit of info.. Mike paid for the car that I was driving 3 days before Jimi Hendrix's demise when he gave out flowers to passers by in the King's Rd saying "peace".
