Paul McCartney and computer colossus Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Wednesday announced a duet to preserve the works and memorabilia of the legendary Beatle in digital form.
McCartney's comprehensive library of pictures, artwork, film, videos and master copies of hit songs will be digitized in a "private cloud" on Internet-linked computer servers by HP, according to the terms of the deal.
"I've always been interested in creative ideas and new ways of reaching people, so this is a really exciting initiative for me," McCartney said in a release.
"I hope it will allow people who might be interested to access parts of our archives they might otherwise not be able to."
