I LOVE Zooropa and POP as well.....and I really think the NLOTH is an amazing album sonically......so beautiful....I really do. I still don't get that 'Magnificent' did not become one of their biggest hits ever. And "Crazy" is my theme song for 2009..........I went through hell losing y father and fighting environmental issues. Crazy just really speaks to me and the remix rule very seriously.

On my bucket list: Dnace to U2 remixes in a really cool dance bar with others who love it too......would that be possible????

I thought All That You Cant Leave Behind, with the exception of In a Little While and Kite was awful. Aimed at a middle of the road / easy listening audience. HTDAAB was great in parts but let down by Vertigo, Crumbs from your table, Yahweh and Miracle drug. NLOTH is mainly an excellent album although I really dislike Boots and Stand up comedy isn't that great either.

What about Stay, The First Time,Discoteque, Staring at the sun,Gone,Please (!!!), Beautiful day,Stuck,Elevation, Walk On, Vertigo (that is so awesome Live), Sometimes....., City of Blinding Lights, Love and Peace, All Because of you, No Line, Magnificent, Moment of surrender, Unknown Caller, I'll go crazy, Boots...oh man....too many!!

I truly feel that U2 is a band dedicated to creating amazing songs that have so much detail in them: every instrumental part is not an afterthought and I really appreciate that in U2; not many bands operate that way. Dave Matthews Band is another band like that, and Muse,.....but many bands just seem to insert the same old drum beats/base and guitar parts: i.e. interesting lyrics and melodies, but the music would not hold up on it's own: U2's music does hold up!! I saw Bruce Springsteen once recently, and EVERY song has the same boring accompaniment( the drum solo was a complete yawn), even though Bruce is great. Bruce's band cannot compete with U2 I think.

> I agree that the new intro is too random, and anticlimactic( I have not witnessed it live--I live in Canada so i have to wait until next year): if they want to do a live musical intro it should be up to U2's anthemic standards...."Soon" did, but it was not live..but soooo beautiful!! I think the space boy is cute, and it fits with the stage design.......but yes, it does not match HMTMKMKM!!....Anyway, I don't think they are looking for a storyline, more sound and vision bites that are fun.
