I lapsed with him for alot of the 80's, relying on his older work. Then he put out Oh Mercy, which was a huge turning point for me. First off, the album is excellent, secondly, I finally got to see him in concert on this tour. That was the best thing that ever happened to raise his profile in my world.

I've got that, Oh Mercy, it is very good.
He played all the lead guitar on it, such as it is.
the story I heard was, he gets together with Lanois and Dylan says, well, I dont have any songs really
and Lanois says, thats ok, ROLL TAPE PLEASE
and it just sort of started happening
