Gives the definition of kazoo as--- kazoo A mock-musical instrument, comprising a tube covered with a membrane which vibrates when some one sings or speaks into the tube.

no mention is made of the shape of the tube, so it could include the Frost's earliest kazoo as well as the George D. Smith's submarine shaped kazoo.
