Music: [Classic_Rock_Forever] CD-Format to be Abandoned by Major Labels by the End of 2012

I've been wondering why it's taken so long frankly...

CD's are great, wonderful fidelity and all but they can be as fragile as vinyl. Dirt, scratch, sticky stuff can mess up your nearly twenty dollar investment in a hurry.

The high quality of Secure Data cards as well as the rugged construction seem to be a no brainier. You just have to be careful about loosing them.

Play-only, limited time SD cards could bring down the cost of artist albums.
