Re: [Classic_Rock_Forever] Rush video - John Rutsey

I knew it wasn't that long ago. Just not sure when, wikipedia informs that he passed away 11 May 2008(aged 54)

At first blush I wasn't that keen on Rush, but once Farewell to Kings was released I became a fan. Been listening off and on over the years. They have a pretty solid catelogue with only a couple of studio albums from the 80's that leaned to heavily on keyboard/synth, that I didn't really 'get'.

Other than that, I can pretty much listen to anything they did way back, or recently.

Extra points for all the live albums they put out!

Three talented guys making music .... doesn't get much better than that.

For those that don't know, Rutsey died just a couple of years ago at a fairly young age [50 - 55 ?]

Here's something you don't see everyday.

Rush live with John Rutsey on drums.

Suprisingly he seems to be prime member who introduces the song to the audience.

I don't think Peart has ever venture within 2 metres of a mike in his life ;)
