at The Tabernacle, Powis Square (Talbot Road end), London W11 2AY. We are delighted to invite you to ZONG ZING
on SATURDAY 9 April at the same venue for the same crazy tickets deal of £5
advance /concs and £8 otherwise. Come one come all - and
bring your friends - so we can keep prices good. The important thing to
note is that Doors are 8pm (Box Office 7pm) with prompt start and early finish
at 10.30pm - plenty of time for transport home - or onwards! Plenty of local
parking too.
Zong Zing - the name is a Congolese phrase for
All Stars - are one of THE most dynamic dance bands on the block who truly
connect. Impossible to resist following their dance moves and dancing in
ways you never imagined! Lead guitarist Fiston Lusambo learned his craft as
a young dude alongside members of Staff Benda Bilili and the whole band are
heavyweight with massive credentials from Orchestra Virunga, OK Jazz, Big Music,
Matimbilia, Rumba Ray and Taxi Pata Pata. They play 'Cavacha' - with intricate guitar picking from
three guitarists, soaring vocal harmonies and driving percussion - one of the
most infectiously danceable musics in the world! It's the roots of
Soukous, Makosa and Coupe de Callez - Dance is the order of the evening - you
have been told! With DJ FREESTYLE from COLOURFUL as well it's a
cinch!

was a fabulous night which everyone truly enjoyed - maybe we could top it with
