classic early 60s Brit tv appearance, everybody's canned, but the singer has a live mic, due to industry regulations... freakish how good Clapton was, even at an early age. Yardbirds were an interesting story, more or less "managed" by Giorgio Gomelsky, owner of the crawdaddy club, in the basement of some hotel... he got the Stones to play there as the house band, but Andrew Oldham stole them away, so he needed another band.
I read Claptons autobiography but he didnt go into a lot of detail about it.. he wasnt the Yardbirds original guitarist. there was another guy before him, but I dont know if that was before or after Gomelsky "discovered them" and put them in his club
