AC/DC, Def Leppard, Stooges go live

• Look for a new live CD/DVD from AC/DC in a few months. Vocalist Brian Johnson says the package was recorded at shows in Buenos Aires in 2009 during the band's Black Ice tour. Johnson offered some details during a recent interview with OversteerTVonline, a site devoted to one of Johnson's off-stage passions, vintage car racing.

• Another live album in the works, this one from Def Leppard. Titled Mirrorball, the CD will also contain three new songs, recorded in studio, and will be accompanied by a "bonus" DVD. The package is expected to be released this summer. The Download Festival announced this week that the band will headline its opening night on June 10.

• At the same time Def Leppard play Download, Iggy and The Stooges will be on stage at the Isle of Wight festival. The Stooges, too, are releasing a live album, Raw Power: Live In The Hands Of The Fans, recorded last fall. It is due for release in April.

• Journey's new album (not live) is ready to go. Eclipse will be released May 24, available at Wal-Mart. Tour information is expected shortly.
