It may be called work, but one of our favorite indulgences is scouring the vast archive of photographer Joe Sia for some real gems. This time we've found great shots of the Rolling Stones from the Gimme Shelter tour of 1969 to the 1975 Tour of the Americas. See photos of Mick strutting his stuff, Keith jamming on his guitar, and the entire band entertaining crowds of thousands. Dig into these stunning new photos; we hope you'll find them as special as we do.
Listen to this incredibly rare (and rumored to be lost) live in-studio recording of Journey in 1979. Billed as SuperJam 2, Journey brings their buddies from other Bay Area bands like the Doobie Brothers, Stoneground, and the entire Tower of Power horn section into the studio to help track this incredible session that sees the band on the brink of superstardom. We are pleased to debut this recording in its entirety for the first time anywhere.
To conclude our month of Download Deals celebrating Black History Month, we bring out some heavy hitters for the last week of discounted shows. These bands are fantastic examples of the African-American musical diaspora and should be welcome additions to your music collections. Just look at the list below... Tuesday: Bo Diddley, July 1970 Wednesday: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, May 2003 Thursday: Aretha Franklin, March 1971 Friday: Band of Gypsys, January 1970

We're thrilled to have discovered a major emerging talent in Sean Rowe. The upstate NY singer/songwriter's Vault Session reminds us of the early performances by Springsteen, Dylan, and Tom Waits: a distinctive and mesmerizing deep baritone and a passionate delivery of great storytelling songs. His first record is available today and on that occasion, we're proud to introduce you to Sean Rowe. And be sure to check out his Crawdaddy! interview to learn more about this charismatic new songwriter.
