Reunion Recap: The Cars, Buffalo Springfield
Friday October 29, 2010
Last weekend's (10/23-24) Buffalo Springfield reunion at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit is described as "a triumph" in a Rolling Stone review. Surviving original members Young, Stephen Stills and Richie Furay performed together for the first time since 1968, reprising some of their best known tracks like "On the Way Home" and "For What It's Worth". The band's original drummer, Dewey Martin died in 2009, five years after the death of bassist Bruce Palmer. For the reunion, those slots were filled by CSN drummer Joe Vitale and Young's bassist, Rick Rosas.
