I agree with the entrance, I think Sting Ray should follow Glastonbury as the opening. It almost sounds the same. Play them after each other they have some kind of link.
If they are going to play North Star again they need to put it with In A Little While. Kind of a slow it down, acoustic set in the show like they do in the show.
If anyone saw the interview that Adam had on u2.com he talked up to playing 4 new songs a show. Instead of a full album an EP instead. I think there is going to be a lot of shuffling around and anything is a possiblity at this point.
As for encore, Hold Me, Thrill Me is a great song. Keep in mind it was considered a left over song from the Zooropa sessions that they wanted to release. With next year being the 20th aniversary of Achtung Baby release and Zooropa is pushing it too. So if anything those songs could be played more too.
The only song I will ever suggest the encore to start off with is Numb! I think the Edge needs to take the lead or something from POP.
I have a funny feeling that regardless what they play no one will be happy. For all the European fans your lucky they are playing, could be like us over in the States waiting. I got tickets for Denver and be there opening night, I am just excited that I will have the chance to go see them and we all should be lucky we get to go.
I have a feeling there is going to be a greatest hits 2000-2010 out this year for Christmas and today I got Spiderman presale tickets today too so maybe some spiderman songs too.

My comments are not really about the set list. I am alright with most of the set list. Of course there are songs that I would like to see be switched out etc but c'est la vie.
My comment/question is has anyone noticed that they seem to have forgotten how to make an entrance?... Zoo Tv, Popmart, Elevation, Vertigo... epic buildup to the opening track... 360 seems to be having trouble with an opening... I was pumped about something different happening in Europe and of course I'm excited about the new material but... it just seems anti climactic.... Stingray intro with the house lights on only come to a complete halt then into Beautiful Day... I don't get it. Does anyone else feel the same?
It's the same feeling with the Encore. I don't get the gurgling aliens and how that's fitting for the new encore opening with HMTMKMKM? So far I am just feeling disappointed with the visual side of the show... guys... you have a massive extendable screen... use it!
Thoughts?
Chris

I totally agree. Bring back Ultraviolet. For years, I begged for this song.
Finally it came back and somewhat to my surprise, it was also a fan favorite.
The songs that they've played a gazillion times sound like it. Keep it fresh, I
say. Sure, big crowds require a certain amount of hits. But Jheezh, sorry to
say, this was just so damned predictable. Rotate the old horses instead. I
mean it's not like the show sucks because Pride has been mercifully dropped..

Anybody else severely disappointed that they have dropped Ultraviolet from
the show? In my view, that may have beent the peak of the show the first time
around, and a welcomed surprise. After all this time, Mysterious Ways, Stuck in
a Moment (not sure if they are doing this again, but felt this way the first
time around on 360 and in view of the DVD) and Still Haven't Found don't
seem/sound as fresh - or at least are so much less exciting to hear in concert -
than some of the vast catalog they have. Songs from Pop, real old stuff that
they've moved away from again. It is odd to me; and i felt this way about the
DVD, too. Don't we have 3 tours worth of DVDs now of shows including Mysterious
Ways, Stuck in a Moment for instance? Their catalog is so vast, and so varied
-- sometimes i am confused by the lack of variation from tour to tour. Even
from one leg of 360 to the next --- they claimed they were trying songs they
hadn't done forever; and yet nothing new has really surfaced other than Hold Me,
Thrill Me (which, to me, isn't an upgrade from Ultraviolet).
As for the new songs --- i haven't been able to really listen to / hear them
yet; but as for most bands, it never seems the best route to play brand new
songs in advance of an album or release, b/c as much as the crowd may eventually
like the song once it has a chance to hear it, you can't sing along, you don't
know what to expect - you end up sitting on your hands a bit trying to make
sense of it all. And then the song is over. I am sure the songs are great,
and maybe will be on this upcoming album - at which point we will get our
listens in and come to love them. It's just that THEN would be the time you
want to hear them live. Not before. I would rather hear Gone, Please, In God's
Country - songs that inexplicably don't make their way around anymore, in favor
of s new/unfamiliar one, or one that, as much as it pains me to say b/c all of
their tunes are great, are a bit overdone at this point. Even casual fans will
have seen this songs multiple times now.
Ok -- that was my little rant. Just some thoughts.
Irie.

The second show of the 2010 U2 360 tour is in the books. U2 played
tonight at Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany. You can see the
full setlist and recap on U2tours.com.

One of the new songs was dropped from tonight's show, while one
oldie returned. REM singer Michael Stipe was in attendance and Bono
sang him a little tribute during one part of the show. If you were
there, you can post a review and/or photos on U2tours.com. If you
weren't there but still want to to chat about the show, try this
thread in @U2's forum. Next concert: Hanover, Germany, on Thursday.
