Re: [Classic_Rock_Forever] Death of Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones case will not reopen despite new evidence which suggests he was murdered
I don't think we will ever know what really happened to Brian. I do wish that his family would have him disinterred, for a modern day type autopsy. Sue --- On Sun, 10/31/10, John Hutchinson <nitromaniac@blueyonder.co.uk> wrote:

Since most of the NA dates are during the summer, that would be kind
of difficult.

Oakland will be the first stadium but its used for both
baseball and football. Anaheim will be the first baseball
only stadium.

RE: [u2tour] Re: Any more North American Dates?
When I first read this I thought oh Hell no but then I thought if they are playing VU why not? I've been dreamin up crazy ideas as to why they are coming to Tennessee, home of Country Music in the first place. And I don't even know but a few people that have heard of U2, let alone been to any of their live performances, from here in lonesome Nashville. So, maybe-something is sure afoot w/them coming here-I mean-look at the efforts being put out to get them come to cities where they are known and here they are coming somewhere w/ probably a fan base of 100 people in a city of a million country music addicts!

Is it crazy to think that U2 might headline a night at the Bonnaroo festival in 2011? Bonnaroo will probably happen the weekend of June 10 - 12......and all of those dates are available on the U2 calendar.
Of course they wouldn't use the Claw stage at the festival but maybe they would headline the main stage one night? That would be cool.

Here's a recap, based on the facts as we know them today:
(1) The Pittsburgh show has been announced as the "final US show of the 2011 tour." Could that change? Sure, but it's probably unlikely given the announcement. But things have been changed before, as we all know.
(2) Based on the production issues of the 360 stage, with the three stage sets, but only one video set, that travel around from site to site, unless they are playing back-to-back dates in the same venue, they have to allow a minimum number of days for the video to travel to the next site, generally a minimum of 2 off days. (There have been exceptions, though, albeit only once on the current 2010 leg, of a single off day between close cities. Frankfurt to Hannover being the latest. It happened a bit more on the 2009 leg, maybe 4 times. I don't know what accounts for their ability to do a show with only one day off, other than close proximity between cities.) Based on the 2 day off minimum, there are still a few gaps in the North American tour dates in 2011:
(2.1) The US leg is scheduled to start May 21 in Denver, but that is six days after the second Mexico City date; in theory, they could add a date on May 18 before the Denver show, but with customs between Mexico and the US, that may be doubtful.
(2.2) There is a big gap between the June 7 Oakland show and the June 17 Anaheim show, enough for 2 cites, one with multiple shows. One might expect a site generally near California, given where they are before and after the gap.
(2.3) There is another big gap between the June 18 Anaheim show and the June 26 East Lansing show, but it is only big enough for one city on a two day off schedule, albeit it could be a city with multiple shows. Rumor has it that they will play Baltimore on June 22.
(2.4) There is a final gap between the July 14 Philly show and the July 20 East Rutherford show. That would permit a show on July 17. There is a rumor circulating that they will play St. Louis on that date, but I haven't seen anything putting meat on those bones like we have seen for Baltimore.
The good news is there are still at least 3 or 4 more gaps that can be filled for the North American leg of the 2011 tour, though 1 or 2 of those may already be spoken for.

Really, I spent probably two hours off and on trying for a few GA's. How irksome. This is one of those tidbits of info you wish would be published, Beforehand!

That happened at a lot (if not all) of the stadium's presales in 2009.

GA's were not available in the Vanderbilt presale, although this news was not publicized. Only U2.com presale and the public sale.

Yes - they played the Rogers Centre in Toronto, which is where the Blue Jays play baseball.
